Full Moon Ceremony

Full Moon Ceremony

Full moon ceremonies can include cleansing, meditation, and other rituals. Some believe that the full moon is a time to bring emotions and intentions to the forefront, process them, and let go. Here are some full moon ceremony rituals:

Cleansing

Some full moon rituals include cleansing baths. For example, in some communities, women bring containers of water to pour into a bowl and offer to Grandmother Moon and the Earth. At the end of the ceremony, the water, called moon water, can be used as medicine.

Moonbathing

This practice involves exposing oneself to the moon's light to gain its cooling energy. It's most effective between the new moon and the full moon.

Cleansing space

This ritual can help spiritually cleanse bad energy or intentions in your home. For example, you can declutter your home, especially near your front door, to invite abundance.

Meditation

Full moon meditation often begins with quiet and stillness to clear your mind and get in tune with the moon's energy. You can then use guided visualization to focus on the moon's light, energy, and presence.
